How to prepare for a camper trip

How to prepare for a camper trip

The main tips to follow so that you are ready to start your trip in one of our great campers. And with everything prepared before the trip, travel without hurrying, and that way you will enjoy the advantages a camper offers.

We, the Puikūs Kemperiai team, recommend downloading the „park4night“ app: (https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/park4night-com/id430946556) (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.tramb.park4night&hl=lt)

With the app you will find useful information about campsites, parking spots, pitches, places to refill water, workshops and more.

Before you set off, choose where you will sleep on the first night, so that you do not get stressed later looking for somewhere to stay.

Be sure to find out about the country you are about to travel to, as this will make your trip go more smoothly.

Plan the places you want to visit while you are still at home. We all know that Google is all-powerful, but planning your sights in advance will save you a lot of time, and you will avoid unnecessary stress during the trip browsing for where to go and what to see. Having a travel plan is very important.

If you travel during the season (July–August), we recommend booking campsites in advance. During the season the number of tourists is very high, so campsites are very busy too.

For trips around Lithuania, we recommend having a look at these websites:

All our campers have a car radio with a USB port and Bluetooth. Using your own storage device, Spotify or other apps, you can easily listen to your favourite music during the trip.

Get 12 V socket adapters so that you can charge your mobile phone on the road. Our campers also have 300W power inverters, which you can use to charge your computer.

All kinds of things can happen to a vehicle on the road, so we recommend taking the essential tools and a torch, which can come in handy in the dark not only if something unexpected happens, but also when camping in a more remote, unlit area.

Do not forget to take your identity documents and your driving licence.

Do not forget to take the essential medicines you may need for pain, colds or digestive problems. In our campers you will find a KET kit (the kit required by the Lithuanian road traffic rules), which contains the essential first-aid supplies.

The camper has plenty of storage boxes and cupboards that will certainly hold your clothes and the other things you need.

Before you set off, make sure you have enough cash. Many motorway and road tolls are paid in cash.

When travelling in the cold season, be sure to take warm blankets, they will certainly come in useful.

Along with the camper, you can rent extra equipment from us for a comfortable trip: bedding sets, kitchenware, electric scooters, outdoor furniture, a grill or bicycles. If you would like extra equipment or accessories, let us know at least 15 days in advance.

Before you come to collect the camper, plan to spend up to an hour with us. The Puikūs Kemperiai team will want to explain everything to you, give you a briefing and calmly answer all your questions.
